Movie Review: Underworld Blood Wars

Movie Review: Underworld Blood Wars

by Wilson Kosasih

It's vampire vs lycans (again) in this fifth installment of the series that no one likes, storming theaters like a sudden earthquake (no one is expecting a fifth movie). And will this be a sweet ending to the series?

It continues straight from the fourth movie, where Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is a legendary Death Dealer that had an offspring with a lycan (werewolf), Eve, sent to an unknown place that even Selene don't know. Vampires are on an extinction state after lycans attack their hideout. Semira (Lara Pulver), one of the vampires council, has a plan to bring down Marius (Tobias Menzies), lycans' leader, but with Selene help. But it never turns out like everyone wants, and it is all some cliches about vampires vs werewolfs.

A boring, cliche, and uninteresting story makes me sleepy throughout the movie. It is not creative, and actors playing each characters are so untalented. Hell, even all of them are not worthy to play a movie. Visual effects are horrendous, the same storyline as those previous prequels, and moreover, villains have no charisma at all.

As i told you guys earlier, this movie is so unworthy of your time. Please just watch Moana instead. I don't know why someone like Theo James keep getting a job with that acting,  and at this point i'm too afraid to ask. Everyone in this movie has no passion at all with their role. Soundtracks don't even help at all, it is so plain that makes all of the viewers sleep instead.

Overall, don't ever think of watching this movie, it's a failure like it's prequels. Watch something else instead. Don't waste your time.  Because you guys will be so disappointed.
