Movie Review: "Logan"

Movie Review: "Logan"

by Wilson Kosasih

Hugh Jackman's last appearance as Wolverine, and it has to be one of the best superheroes movie yet. It has the suspense, drama, and action.

In the year 2029, mutants are on brink of extinction. James "Logan" Howlett (Hugh Jackman), a.k.a Wolverine is living his normal life as a chauffeur. He and albino mutant, Caliban (Stephen Merchant) have to take care Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) from a neurodegenerative disease and causes him to lose control. Logan then is confronted by Gabriela (Elizabeth Rodriguez) and begs him to take care of Laura (Dafne Keen) from the guys who wants to capture her. And Logan goes from an "I don't care" guy to "I have to save her" guy after he knows the truth about Laura.

First of all, this is indeed one of the best superheroes movie ever. It feels more "humane" since Logan is old and not like he used to be. Story is not special, but the chemistry between Hugh Jackman and Dafne Keen is nothing beyond compare. And the scenes from this movie remind me of "The Last of Us" and Hugh Jackman has to be Joel if there's a live action movie on works.

There's nobody could play Wolverine better than him, and if someone else has to play him, no one can be better than Hugh. And Dafne Keen as Laura is one of the best child performance and i'm already in love with her. She didn't talk much in this movie, but her acting is quite good, and i can see a future star in her. Patrick Stewart still has that "Professor X" feeling although he doesn't do much in this movie.

Overall, every X-Men fans has to watch this. It has the drama, action, and suspense all the best way that could happen. But beware the ending is somewhat sad and some people couldn't handle it.

Overall, this is one of the best "Batman" movie out there. It's smart, funny, and action sequences are done well. You guys have to watch this after two disappointing DC movies. And well, this movie suits everyone from a kid to an adult.
