Hello again guys, i'm here again with another movie review. This time i'm going to review an Indonesian movie, which is the sequel of Comic 8 (2014). The first movie is hilarious in my opinion and is one of the best Indonesian movie ever made. The sequel has been out for some time (around two weeks) and from that two weeks of release, this movie has been one of the most watched movie in Indonesia.
Casino King follows up from the first movie where the crew were successful on robbing the bank and has arrested the enemy for the police. And now the crew continues their mission going undercover being a stand-up comedian in search of the comic (short of stand-up comedian) who has the information about The King. The comics must face so many problems, but at the end they managed to finally arrive at The King's secret island who has the biggest private Casino in Asia. But nothing go smoothly, as The King knows their plan and tries to kill them before they destroy the Casino.
The movie is hilarious in my opinion, and sometimes the jokes are absurd but still laughable. The actors' acting were not bad considering they are comics, not actors. The action sequence too improves from the first movie. With the additional CGI in some scenes, it's quite good, gives the movie a positive value. The other thing which is a good point of this movie is, there's a lot of cameos in this movie! Starting from the youtubers, like Andovi and Jovial da Lopez (AKA skinnyindonesian24, youtube channel: Click here), Sacha Stevenson (youtube channel: Click here) even to the Indonesia's senior actors, Ray Sahetapy, who will play in the Captain America sequel, Yayan Ruhian AKA Maddog and many more. Those cameos make the movie even more awesome.
Because this movie is still the part one, the ending makes me curious of the part 2 and for your information, the part two will be released in February 2016. Mark your calendar and make sure to watch it!
