TOP 7 Movies of All Time

by Wilson Kosasih

What is up guys? I'm back with something new, which is the TOP 7 charts. It's going to be a new chart every two weeks on Sunday and it's going to be a different chart every time! But why 7? The reason is simple, 7 is my lucky number. Without further a due, this week's TOP 7 chart is my version the best movies of all time, enjoy!

7. Inception (2010)

We'll start of with number 7 of this chart, Inception. Released on 2010, directed by Christopher Nolan, the movie was quickly became one of my favorites. The story's brilliant, gifted casts, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Tom Hardy, and the movie got 4 Oscars. With budget of $160 million, Inception succeeded to receive an amount of $825 million, that's almost 5 time of the budget!

6. Fight Club (1999)
On number 6, we have Fight Club, based on 1996 novel, directed by David Fincher, and stars Bradd Pitt and Edward Norton. I got nothing bad to tell you about this movie, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton's acting was Oscars' like in this movie, story has so many plot twists that will make you say "what the hell just happened?". The movie was quite a success and was one of the best movies on 1999.

5. Forrest Gump (1994)

"Run, Forrest, run!" That quote is one of the inspirational quotes in the movie. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, and starring Tom Hanks with a Oscar-winning performance (Best Actor). You go through the life of Forrest Gump from how he was bullied because of his low IQ, to how he became one of the founders of a company. The movie was based on a novel with the same title, was so inspirational and become one of my favorite movies.

4. Spirited Away
The only anime on this list, Spirited Away was one of Hayao Miyazaki's brilliant creation. and one of the most successful Studio Ghibli's movies. Was released on July 20, 2001 in Japan, the anime quickly became the Japan's top box office. The movie was released a year later in United States with the dub version and earned a total of $330 million worldwide!

3. Interstellar (2014)
Another critically acclaimed end of the world movie, Interstellar was one of the best movies in 2014. Directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Matthew McConaughey (2013 Oscar's Best Actor), Anne Hathaway. They both were trying to find out how to move the entire human colony to another planet, because the earth was dying. Story's so many plot twists, time-paradox related, space travelling, and the visual effects in this movie were stunning. The movie was one of the best on 2014 in my opinion, and has received a total of $675 million worldwide!

2. Back to the Future (1985)
One of the best trilogies in Hollywood and the best from the trilogies, Back to the Future tells us about Dr. Emmet "Doc" Brown (Christopher Lloyd) who's crazy about time travelling and created DeLoreon, a time-travelling car, and invited Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) to his first experiment. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this movie quickly became another Box Office Hit with $389.1 million income with only just $19 million budget.

1. The Godfather (1972)
We finally reach the top! My version of the best movie of all time is "The Godfather" and is one of the best gangster-themed movie. You won't forget how the soundtrack goes, and the amazing performance of Marlon Brando as the Godfather. The movie was directed by Francis Ford Coppola and was released on March 24, 1972 has earned approximately $286 million worldwide!
